Accidents a Marathon

When doctors at Ku inpatient told my parents it was going to be hard to tell what was causing what. This was due to two major injuries, one being spinal cord injury at T12 with breaks at 8, and 10 as well. But I also had numerous other injuries, but the other major injury was brain injury on my frontal and temporal lobe.
With this being really hard to deal with hearing had a brain injury, inside my mind I was like wait what this cannot be happening. I have such a sharp mind, I don't want that taken to. Not to mention eyesight at the time was all blurred bottom half as well as light sensitive, with horrible headaches.
It really took some time for the light sensitivity and headaches to go away, but they were there as ground out the (I really have no clue how my mom and I got through that) rehab institute phase of recovery. Rehab institute was working more on my knee surgery recovery as well as recovery some from my spinal cord injury.
Back at the original starting place Ku inpatient, I was getting the base foundation laid under me to work on, and to build on. Ku inpatient was getting me somewhat functional. Rehab institute now Ability KC, they took me farther fine tuning some things and laying more base foundations under me.
If your building a house or whatever, think of Ku inpatient and Ability KC people therapist, doctors and staff being the ground crews, the dirt work people, concrete people setting things up for framing and framing in with the secure outer foundation.
Then Minds Matter came in, think of them doing all the electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry work in the house, giving more support and strength to the structure (the structure being my body), think of the doctors as staff who are working on the house structure, back surgeon like person working on the cracked foundation in backbone. So forth, think this way, this helps keep one a person from being driven up the wall by the process, but two really see things for what and how they really happen to be.
At Minds Matter I worked a lot on fining tuning exercises, Mike therapist Mike laid the foundation further at Minds Matter, before Kyle came in right after Mike and I went through the roof in recovery, and he got me ready for the practical real world physically wise what doing. Obviously not the physical state was in lifting with Kyle as therapist, but with what he got me ready for like walking in boots constantly, walking on uneven surfaces with leather soled cowboy boots on. He also got me to where I can unload fuel cans out of bed of truck and fuel things up and well as carry them besides my transfer bed tank.
I mention therapist by name for two reasons, one obviously how else am I supposed to tell all of this. Two, want them to know what they did for me won't ever be taken for granted or not appreciated even though that's their job. I was blessed with some great therapist. You know in lots of injury groups, I have really read some horror stories of some which that's too bad. But every physical therapist, I personally have around been naturally a warmer friendlier type of person.
I thank God every day for where I am, for giving me the determination, drives, resources, and people to make this recovery all possible and have great future again. But two of these injuries took years to recover from.
I was recovering making huge strides still in physical therapy recovery year 5 and 6 out after my accident. For my brain injury year ten really was the year, I really can honestly say was healed and became healed.
Much appreciated,
