TBI’s and Spinal Cord Injuries and Not Taking Things For Granted

I believe it is common of all humans to take things for granted, as well as to think things cannot happen to us. For instance, my accident i was 24 and invincible and wouldn’t ever die i thought. However, September 12th 2015 i was proven wrong, things took a drastic turn for the worse late 2015.

That was when i learned to not to take walking for granted, or even talking or writing for granted as well as any relationships for granted as well. Y’all, at the time of my accident i was all about making adult relationships and getting things going in my flying, goodness grief people I’m so used to typing getting stuff began in my motivation and inspiration that almost put that all the time now.

Y’all, back then airline pilot was career goal corporate pilot to be exact was trying to get to i say trying because i was working on that time of my accident and was logging hours as quick as i could. Things have been hard, very much so but they did not break me and i refuse to allow them to break. Now, have i felt like breaking? Almost daily many times, feel like falling apart and busting at the seams and allying apart.

Do not take for granted the simple basic freedoms we have as Americans either, y’all we are very much blessed to live in a free country with good healthcare and the ability to recover. For people, i could of very much so, years back born in a third world country and be dodging bullets and militia to get to therapy. As well avoid gun fire getting in and out of the hospital, y’all i am blessed to be an American.

Y’all, i am real thankful to those who fought for our freedoms I’m really glad they made the sacrifices they made that way i was able to be indulged in life. As well, when many of them were making sacrifices to serve and protect this nation, i was indulging in stuff. I am really thankful and grateful to be an American and thats not cliche sounding meant, thats really meant.

I am glad to of been raised up Christian, and to of been raised up with Christian values. Y’all these TBI’s and spinal cord injuries, can make a person regret lots of past times, as well as see how much they took and take for granted. For example, y’all one thing i always took for granted was having 20/10 eyesight with no visual disturbances. My eyesights about 20/15-20/20 now with some visual disturbance and some problems at times.

Don’t take things for granted after an accident as well either though y’all, that can be really dangerous y’all. For i was, and kind of took and take certain things for granted until i remind myself of times they were not there or remember times when they were there and appreciate them more.

I really took my mother son relationship 2013 for granted, that really y’all i missed greatly sometimes after my accident, that was a summer of painting the house with my mom. We made friends (whom would become close like family) with neighbors, and me and my mom were doing all kinds of stuff that summer. I taught her how to drive truck and trailer (no big deal at all) but it was a nice summer with me and my mom.

Also, was doing good in my hobby team roping my mom was going to lots with me along with my dad. I took those times for granted, as well as the times prior to my accident those weekend morning flights as a family. My accomplishments and what i talk about now, compared to people I’m inspired by and look up to my accomplishments are really small and probably aren’t even considered accomplishments. That’s why i keep saying, I’m really getting my life started now with the motivation and the writing.

Things have been more than problematic over the years feeling looked at as a looser despite what i did or do, now this was a hurtful feeling from people from certain times when i am classy and quality. Not always been the most polite, but seriously if you been around someone their entire life or all the time you are going to see many times where they don’t have proud moments and many moments of imperfections.

I believe our lives are meant to be built upon our imperfections and them to be worked on and tried to be improved. For y’all, i literally have many imperfections i ride myself harder than anyone will ever ride me, but my imperfections some work in my favor. ADHD’s one of them, ADHD really helps at times, bounce and switch back and forth between topics and subjects.

Now, ADHD does get frustrating living with gets frustrating having to the extreme i do. I’m not a little ADHD I’m very ADHD, there has been many times that has literally felt like drowning in the ADHD abyss and searching for a focus line out of the box. Lots of times those times can drive one bonkers, quite up a wall. Seriously this gets really hectic at times y’all.

God bless, Glory to God!
